What does column F of Tree definition mean in Management Reporter and how do you use it? I just migrated 5 reports from FRx to MR and all the trees have a value of GL1. I cannot find to what GL1 refers.
Hi Richard,
Column F in the tree definition is used with Column E. You'd need to have a row definition defined in Column E first. Once you had that, you could select the link from that row. GL1 is a carry over from the migrated report. In MR, it would be FD1. If you open the row definition that is in Column E and then click Edit | Row Links, you'll see the link name.
Normally Columns E and F are not used in the tree, unless you have multiple links to the Financial Dimensions. Typically this is used if you consolidate companies with different chart of accounts. The blog below has an example of how this is set up.

Thanks for this useful information. I am still researching their data as we only recently became their reseller. They have data going back to 2000. This data is only financial data. They import all their transactions from some external application. Everything is posted on the last business day of each month. I do need to go over this more with them as I do not understand why there are individual accounts with balances for the division known as 000. Each report has over 100 branches so they are very extensive.
