Can the Nav Application Server use SQL authenticationto the backend?

Hi All

Question is as per the title really!

Currently undertaking a rollout of Nav and due to some constraints, the database server cannot use Windows Auth, only SQL auth.

However it seems that the Nav Application Server is only able to use Windows Auth. Am I missing something or is this true? I cant seem to find any documentation to explain one way or the other.

Hi,

It is possible but the service account by which you are going to set the NAV application service account needs to have permission to that database in SQL server otherwise you will face the service issue in service startup. (Service will stop when it goes to talk with database)
