Time taken to delete records

Hi Team,

Quick question, in a typical production solution, what would be the estimated time taken to delete 1 million basic activity records using a bulk delete job? No complex data on the activities, no attachments etc, just a few fields.

    Really? I was expecting hours maybe but not days...are there any faster ways of doing it?

    Bulk delete is not designed to be super-fast; it just works by design. Maybe this link will help you.

    or you could use XrmToolBox tool Bulk Data Updater, see more info: https://jonasr.app/bdu/It can delete many records.

    Create a flow and run it to delete thousands of records at a time. Whatever you do deletion job will take time. If needed then you can delete records manually by using workflow and run it for selected thousands of records as Leco suggested using xrmtool box.

    Thank you everyone for your answers - In the end I just used the bulk delete tool anyway - I was deleting about 300k records per hour so the whole job took around 12 hours. Contacts were the only record type that took longer at around 75k per hours.
