while adding new report in visual studio 2010 getting error "object reference not set to an instance of an object"

Dear all,

            i am designing reports using  visual studio 2010.when i am trying to create  new report its showing one error that is  "object reference not set to an instance of an object" .i am not able to solve the error please guide me how to resolve error and please find the screenshot also.

    Which version of AX are you using? Different versions of AX are compatible with different versions of Visual Studio, i.e. R3 requires VS 2013.

    Do you have Full CIL compiled in the application? Do you have your Local client and Business connector correctly configured in the AX Client Configuration Utility, and have you refreshed the WCF settings in there for both of them?

    i am using 2012 R3 and VS2010, and i compiled my application in that i got few errors.i refreshed the wcf settings also still i am getting same error in VS

    Compile the application, resolve all errors, generate full CIL. After that you could refresh WCF settings, then install VS 2013 and try it again with that. VS 2010 is no longer compatible above CU8, see the official post:
