RE: Field Service Mobile App - Trying to understand the licensing [RESCO]
Your confusion is understandable, but the situation will improve soon, please see below.
The Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement Plan Subscription Licenses include Dynamics 365 for Field Service. Dynamics 365 for Field Service includes a mobile application, Dynamics 365 Field Service Mobile, which is provided to customers under an OEM agreement from Resco.
That means, for all Field Service personas, the license grants you access to the MS FS App on all supported platforms, but not to the native Resco app (this will require a separate Resco license).
The MS FS App is configured ("adjustments") using the Woodford solution, which is also covered by the above license, but currently needs to be downloaded from Resco's website. Woodford will soon be replaced by a Microsoft FS Administration solution. In Woodford, you don't start from scratch, but instead use the FS Mobile Project, which is the actual definition of the FS App. Don't change that project, derive a child project and makes changes there. This will allow you to keep your changes once we provide an updated project.
