How to stop the process after the Pre event handler

Hi All,

I have created Pre event handler for "SRSReportRunPrinter" class.

Now i want to run only Pre event handler method for my report, afterwards stop the standard process.

How can i achieve this.

Anyone suggest.

    I do not think that is possible to skip the main method execution. You could only "throw" to handle the code interruption in the next catch block, but in that case it stops all subsequent execution, since it is an error.

    Hi Edselv Evert,

    It is possible in PU11 with a new  Replaceable feature in CoC kashperuk.blogspot.co.nz/.../development-tutorial-extensibility_7.html , however, method you want to skip should be marked with  [Replaceable] and it could be done only by MS if you create an extension request and they accept it. Otherwise, you may look at "workaround" with exception, however, I won't recommend you this way, because it is a hack and could cause lots of problem.

    For AX 2012 the above are not applicable.

    Oh that's 2012. So don't waste your\our time and go with standard "overlayering" approach instead of event handlers, they are far from ideal in 2012 and have very limited capacity.
