Leave Request 'In Review' but Workflow 'Completed'

Posted on by 15

I have a leave request with a status of 'In Review' but the associated workflow has a status of 'Completed'.  I'm therefore not able to resume or cancel the workflow or edit or delete the time off request.  I'm also not able submit another time off request for the same period as when I do I get the following error message:

"The time off request entered contains one or more days with the same date and leave type as an existing pending request. Please recall the existing request to make changes."

Any ideas how to remove the original time off request now that the workflow is completed?

This is what I was advised by our partner and we use this regularly

    UPDATE

After looking into how to publish via the excel workbook I managed to change the status of the request to denied which then allowed me to resubmit a request during the same period.

No days have been subtracted from the leave balance.

I'm not familiar with excel workbook designer, is there anyway to rectify this in system?

    Hello Tom,

If no days were substracted from the leave balance, I would recommend deleting the request using excel workbook designer and re-submitting.

But the related leave request is still showing as 'In Review' so how do I amend this?

Once the workflow is completed, then you cannot do anything.

Because the workflow is showing as completed it's not giving me the option to cancel or resume it.

    Hi Tom,

You can try to recall your workflow and make changes according to your requirement.
