Hi:
A serialized inventoried item has 0 quantity on hand and 0 quantity available, yet, it has serial numbers in inventory.
How do you remove the serial numbers, when you can't adjust them out due to 0 quantity?
Thanks!
John
Hi John,
If you haven't already, please insure you run Tools | Utilities | Inventory | Reconcile on the item(s) in question to see if the serial number items will be removed and/or the quantity value will change if the serial number records are valid accordingly.
If the quantity remains the same and there are still records with serial numbers intact in Dynamics GP there is a good chance you have orphaned allocation records in the db that will need to be removed so the serial numbers will no longer be available.

Hi There, Jeff:
In fact, I'm awaiting word from the client on my suggestion to run Inventory Reconcile.
If doing so does not resolve the issue, what sort of tables shall I run scripting against to remove those orphaned allocation records?
Thanks for the update! Please let me know if the reconcile works as the orphaned apply records is a general assumption.
Jeff
Running Inventory Reconcile worked!
Thank you, Jeff!
