While attempting to use Main accounts_Services template in the General Ledger I am finding that column ‘P’ has a required field that is called ‘Reference’, it is proving very allusive to track down what reference it is looking for. Below are 2 of the errors, the first was to long, and the second is if the field is blank. I did expect the second error for a required field except by default the field is blank in the downloaded default template. Can anyone point me to some documentation for this template or tell me what table/column this is?

I am getting a similar error as described above. I have tried the other mentioned tasks, but it seems not to be working. I wanted to know if anyone has any other ideas?

I have came across the same error, but on a temperamental basis. It seems to relate to the data you enter into RapidStart.

The way that I import companies - Base Information -> create your KEN legal entity when you load ensure when choosing the Company KEN is selected.

This should work.

Hi Russel.

There are a number of other fields that will only show 'reference' without any indicator to what this means. The easiest and quickest to find out this information that I have found, is to understand the table that the RapidStart is pointing at and use the AOT table viewer to view all the columns and then work out which column is missing.

Hi All,

I have tried the above suggestions and when importing or pushing data through Rapid Start to the AX 2012 R2 CU7 instance, I receive the below error for all main accounts template lines

"The class AxCommon does not have a parmDEL_InventSettleCorrection_W method or field DEL_InventSettleCorrection_W is missing from the query."

I am using default templates provided by the tool and configuring AX using business process configuration (Order to Cash).

Has anyone come across this issue?

Another Issue:

I also came across another issue when pushing data through Rapid Start. I was not able to create a legal entity as part of the configuration process using the information provided in the Base Information step such as: legal entity name, code,..etc. Once I click on load data into Dynamics ERP (in this case AX 2012 R2 CU7), the following error is generated:

1. Error executing RapidStartSetup.setUpCompany method. Invalid parameter type. Expecting String, specified UtcDateTime

2. Company context KEN does not exist (in this case 'KEN' is the legal entity code)

The only way to push information to the KEN legal entity, is to manually create the legal entity in AX 2012 R2 CU7, then pushing data through Rapid Start.

Has anyone come across this issue?

Thanks to the folks who have responded. The key to understand with this is:

You can use RapidStart to create company by using the Base Information functional area. If you use Base Information, then the system creates a chart of accounts, calendar, ledger with the same name as the company code as you had provided in the Base Information company code question.

In AX 2012 main accounts are defined for a chart of accounts and you need to provide the reference to the COA in the main accounts template. If you are using Base Information then provide the same name as the company code. If you are not using the Base Information, then it means you already have the company created and a reference COA has already been created. You specify the COA name in the main account spread sheet.

Hi Russel.

I had this problem as well. What I found working was to insert the name of the chart of accounts in the reference field.

Try this: Create an empty chart of account under general ledger -> Setup -> Chart of accounts ->Chart of Acounts and name it i.e. CEU. Put CEU in the reference field in your template.

I'm not sure what the reason for this is, but if you try to configure the basis module in rapid start it may create a chart of account for you with the same name as the company id.
