We created a Test Environment and took a snapshot from Production. We cannot post in Development but we can post in Production. What needs to be done in Development so that we can Post a Batch?
Thank you

If the fiscal period was closed then all the good work you had done would be wasted, as nothing you can do will allow you to post into a Fiscal Period that is 'closed'
It is like placing a lock on the table.
Glad you were able to get this resolved.
I did the edit list and the error is "fiscal period for the posting is closed". I went into the set-up for Company > Fiscal Period and ensured the Posting History is checked and then went into Fiscal Periods and unchecked May 2020 and then I was able to post the batch. I will try it again just to make sure it is working. Thanks for your help.
After running batch recovery try printing the edit list. That will tell you what is wrong.
There was no data in SY00800 and SY00801. I reset the batch status to 0. Went back into Dynamics GP and re-tried to post this batch and I received the same error.. Are there other tables that have Batch information that I need to delete? Is there somethin I need to change in Set-Up. The information should be the same as Production as Development is an image of Production.
You have batches stuck in the SY00800, SY00801 tables in DYNAMICS database. You will need to clear them using SSMS. If you did an image copy of your server check the DEX_LOCK and DEX_SESSION tables in the tempdb database. Follow these steps.

When I go to the Payables Batch Entry Screen and Select a Batch to be Posted, when I click on Post I get the error: "Data Entry Errors in Batch ID. Use Batch Recovery window to process this Batch". When I go to Batch Recovery, it recovers the batch and I still cannot Post as I get the same error. Now I can do all this in Production but not in the Test Environment. Is there something I have to do in Dynamics when I am pointing Dynamics to another database other than the one in Production. Both environments use the same version of Dynamics. Anything with Dynamics Utilities?
What is the actual error message on the transaction? Is it a GP or SQL error message? Can you post any batches?
I can create a batch with an invoice for a Vendor but I cannot Post that Batch. The Error I get is Data Entry Error on Batch SA09052020. I have Dynamics GP on two separate Servers and the Test is pointing to a Test SQL Server and I changed the ODBC Connection.
It would be helpful to know error messages are you getting? Can you log into GP and enter transactions? Are these two servers on the same domain? Did any renaming of the server occur?
