Conditional Content Trigger doesn't adjust with Criteria

Hi y'all,

Interesting question here.

Since the transition into Real-Time, I have been given the green light to use Conditional Content in E-mail. However, during the testing phase, the mail is not always showing the right content.

Here's the deal:

We work a lot with Campaign Responses. So if a prospects fills in a form a Campaign Response is created with several fields (see image):

Within the Activity Type Participation, we have 4 different related campaigns that in OB go into 4 different Customer Journeys. I want to use one trigger in a Customer Journey that will then send an E-mail with Conditional Content related to the related campaign.

As you can see above, this example has Related Campagin Basic, whereas we have also Industrial, Default, and Forest.

For the condition I have tried several things: Campaign -> Campaign Name -> Basic -> contain Basic, or Campaign Activity -> Name -> Basic -> contains Basic, or see image 2:

Until now without any results and I'm a bit at wit's end now. What do I need to do if I want content to adjust to the related campaign?

Hope you can help and thanks in advance!

    Hi,

You can design segments based on Lead's source campaign field.

Then create journeys based on the segment.
The inline conditions for sending emails are set according to the value of Lead's source Campaign.

Copy the inline condition code into the body and set the value for each condition when they are each meet.

Therefore, for a lead whose source Campaign filed has the value Basic, the body of the email will display Basic when it is received.

    Best Regards,

    Hi Dengliang Li,

    Thanks for your reply :)

That's already one step closer to the goal. However...my organisation does not work with leads, but only with contacts, since it is focused on B2C. Even if I wanted to use leads, D365 does not give me the opportunity to select Campaigns.

Right now, I manage to come to the following step:
And this is where I get stuck. The moment I select a specific record, it will look at the record (campaign) to see if it has a name that equals with the value. If so, it then selects that record for the conditional content, whereas it must connect the Contact with the Campaign and then show the wished content.

    What would you recommend?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

To associate a contact with a campaign. You can add a 1:N relationship between the campaign and contact entities.

Then you can design the email using the methods I mentioned before.

    Best Regards,
    Dengliang Li
