I want to filter the procurement categories and assign items to each procurement category based on a current user's department.
supposed, A IT department user requesting a PR while adding the items (by clicking on Add product button), only items related to the IT Department Procurement Category will be visible.
How can I achieve this scenario without coding from the front end?

You can use the purchasing policies to maintain category access policy rules per department. You would need to setup an organization hierarchy linked to the purpose 'Procurement internal control'.
