Exporting a full environment to a new region

Hi everyone,

I am currently working with a customer who are looking to do an environment region move for both their Production and UAT environments. In that capacity I'm currently evaluating the requirements and constraints around what is essentially packaging every bit of data in the environment and bringing it over to a new home.

I am planning on using DMF to get the job done, but I was wondering if anyone has any experience with a migration like this and whether DMF is the right route to take, as well as whether there are any big pitfalls I should look out for. I'm distinctly aware that some things, like the graphical representation of hierarchies, we might not be able to get over in one piece, but any other tips you might have would be massively helpful!

    Hi Sytse,

DMF can be used for reference data, master data and worksheets, but not for all transactions and history. If you need a full copy, you can contact Microsoft for some assistance.
