I have had 3 users call me today with this message and I have never seen it.

You can only approve purchase orders for users that report to you.  This purchase order will be saved with an approval status of Unapproved.

The only thing there doing is posting.  When we click ok it post, but what is happeing?

    Larry -

Did someone enable Activate Approvals in the PO Enhancements Setup window and then setup an Approval process?

we have always had these active.  We do use the feature but I have 2 users that have unlimited authority and they still get the message and it has nothing to do with approving anthing.  There just posting batches.

    Hi,

Can you provide any screen shots of the PO Enhancement Setup window for the users reporting the problem?   I understand this has always been setup, but something has obviously changed and it would help to have some kind of visual into the screens to start being able to find a solution.

Assuming all three users are setup the same way, have you tried running a security profile trace using the Support Debugging Tool to see what's being called?  Or tried a SQL trace?

No because it only happened once now I can’t get it to happen again.

Unfortunately, unless it can be reproduced it will be too hard to determine exactly what caused the message to be thrown to the users when posting.   This is the first time it's happened correctly?   Any recent changes/updated to the Dynamics GP installation, including 3rd part products?
