How to send an SMS through nav 2016 ?

Hi All,

how can i send sms through nav 2016 is there any step by step process any one can explain it?

i did R&D but i found this link http://dynamicsuser.net/blogs/kine/archive/2011/01/18/sending-sms-from-dynamics-nav-with-5-lines-of-code.aspx but this is not useful for me.

i think the above link will work in nav 2009 r2 but i want this in nav 2013 r2,2015...etc.

any suggestions will appreciate.

HI,

For Sending Email You Need to Do -

> Insert your Record In - Table 9500 (Email Item).

> Then Call Function Function Send With Record Variable above using Codeunit 9520.

The Function Returns Boolean that will tell you mail is send or not.

Let me know if any issues.

i didn't understood you said table 9500 but here all fields like send a mail purpose fields.

i want to send one sms to 9014029973 body as "Hi from Navision."

is it possible from your reply.

hi,

you can use Web Services to send SMS from NAV, you can simply modify this procedure to use with NAV 2013, 15 & 16.

Hi,

What you can do is write a small .net dll that handle the SMS functionality and then import that particular .dll to NAV system. Once that is been done you can pass the message and numbers to the dll function. This will ease your development work since .net provide more flexible support.

What is the method you are planning to use for the sms integration. You can use SMS gateway or a mobile device.
