AX not remembering last module used - Why?

Why is AX not remembering the module (GL, AP, Purchasing, etc.)  I last used when I signed out?  I have the sys admin and security admin roles assigned to my ID.  These are standard roles that have not been modified.  When I exit AX and go back in later on, whether today or tomorrow, AX defaults me back to the system administration module.  If I last posted a journal in the General Ledger, AX does not take me back to the GL.  It takes me to Sys Admin.  Clearing usage data does not help.  Even if I assign a specific role like Controller or Accounting Manager to my user ID, the default module is still system administration.  Why?  This started a few weeks and I don't know what has changed.

    Hi Howard,

This is a strange issue. I haven't seen this before other than when the usage data has been deleted. In previous versions there was an option to specify a startup menu. This is not available in AX2012.

Can you tell if you did implement a customization or a hotfix which could be related?

There has been only one customization done lately, but it was not related, and it wasn't even implemented in the effected system.  It was a custom form for free text invoices.  I have researched and researched this, and come up with nothing.

    Hi Howard,

The only thing I can think of is that the usage settings (table SysLastValue) does not have correct values. Can you verify if there is a hanging user in the Online users form?
