Can we disable the Partner related fields and relationships in Accounts and Opportunities?

Some sales related relationships in our Dynamics solution are Partner related and have a prefix "msa_". For example "Managing partner" in Accounts, "Partner ID" and "Partner Contact" in Opportunities. These relationships and fields are a confusing for some users and we'd like to disable this functionality if possible. Does anyone know if this is possible?

    Hi Elowy,

This might sound silly - but can't you just remove these fields from the form so that users doesnt see them anymore?

    Hi Elowy Groot,

You are not obligated to use these fields. You can modify them as much or as little as you like.

Yes, I can remove them from the form. But the relationships still show up in the related entities menu (and in my solutions). Because they had all the same prefix, I hoped that it was just one managed solution that I could uninstall. I think they relate to the Dynamics Partner Portal. However, I didn't install the partner portal, but the customer self service portal.

    Hi Elowy Groot,

You can remove the relationships from your unmanaged solutions and from the related entities menu if you want to.

The "msa_" prefix tends to come from portal solutions, so it is possible that the fields were included when a portal was installed on your instance.

It seems that these relationships are part of the managed solution MicrosoftCrmPortalDependencies. Necessary for the portal. And as far as I understand I cannot delete them because they are managed. Therefore they remain part of the related entities menu. Unfortunately...

Ok, found a simple workaround I wasn't quiet aware of; just set all this partner relationships to "Do not show" and they do not appear in the menus anymore. Sorry, should have known that.
