Hello everyone,
I am a complete newbie to Dynamics 365. I have been asked to stand up a Help Desk for my company. We are currently using a 3rd party products and would like to build the interface in Dynamics 365. Does anyone know where I can get some documentation to build this out? I have been unsuccessful in my searches and I know that I am not the only one that would like to do this.
Any help/guidance would be so much appreciated.
Thanks,
Jamie
Hi partner,
How would you like to integrate D365 with your product? Only data integration or functions integration?
1.If you want to integration with data, D365 supports importing and exporting data with excel templetes. You could refer to this doc.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customerengagement/on-premises/basics/import-export-data
https://crmbook.powerobjects.com/basics/data-management-in-microsoft-dynamics-crm/importing-data-in-microsoft-dynamics-crm/the-data-import-wizard-in-dynamics-crm/
2.If you want to integration with functions, You may need to customize some of your development efforts to suit your specific needs.
D365 supports many ways to allow you to manipulate data in D365 in the 3rd party program, like web api(supports js&c#), organization service(C#)...
You could also refer to the D365 SDK here.https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customerengagement/on-premises/developer/get-started-sdk
Anyway, welcome to Dynamics 365 Forum :-)
You could raise your questions in this forum and there will be a lot of wonderful experts help you resolve your problems.
Best Regards,
Leo
I think that I muddled my question. We are moving from the third party product over to a Dynamics 365 solution. Is there documentation on the best way to buildout a no code solution? To customize Customer Service solution for what we need. Simple things like how do I customize the SLA's and how to I sync to integration our Office 365 user base into the app?
Also, when you say, raise my question. What does that mean? :-) Sorry, true newbie.
Sorry for my misunderstanding.
Yes you could customize the Customer Service solution without coding. Please refer to this documentation provided by Microsoft.
docs.microsoft.com/.../help-hub
About SLA, you could refer to this doc.
docs.microsoft.com/.../define-service-level-agreements
docs.microsoft.com/.../
About users, you should konw that we could not add users in D365 directly, we should add users in O365 first and then assign D365 license to them and then they will become the users of D365.
BTW, "raise question" just means you could ask your questions in this forum :-)
Hope it helps.
Check our Unified Service Desk from D365 product family. It's free. Essentially driven by a configuration, but you can code as little to as much needed.
