Pasa que cuando configuro una tabla para hacerle seguimiento en la base de datos, al insertar el registro lo guarda en empresa DAT y no en la empresa real del cliente

Hi, can you help me with the following problem in the database registry of DYN 365 F&O

It happens that when I configure a table to track it in the database, when I insert the record it saves it in DAT company and not in the real client's company

    Thank you for your help

I guess you're talking about database log. Is that right?

What you're describing happens with tables that are shared across companies; their records aren't associated with any company. Isn't it your case?

yes it's correct, I've even set up the DataAreaId field in the tables and it works for some tables and not for others, I guess it's because they're shared tables. Is there any configuration for this?

No, not any that I'm aware of. You can't change whether the table is shared or not, and I don't think you can change the behavior of writing such logs to DAT.

Ok, so shared tables always save their record in dat?

    Hi Daniel,

Like already mentioned above, yes. The shared tables have the database log in the dat company.

Ok thank you very much, this means that you definitely cannot configure the table to save the record in the company that performed the registration action

Correct. The database log is, like the word says a database log. It is using change tracking on SQL server to indicate a log should be written. The database itself is not aware of which company was used in the application.
