creating two shortcuts to server databases

We have two databases on the same server. A live environment and a test environment. Currently I swap between the two by using the "Select Server" option within NAV.

How can I customize 2 icons for NAV so that each one will default to the separate environments.

    Hi Swenger,

    You can copy your ClientUserSettings file from "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\100\ClientUserSettings.config", create two copies for test and live and change the connection settings in the files 

    <add key="ClientServicesPort" value="7046"/>

    <add key="ServerInstance" value="DynamicsNAV100"/>

    Then you can create two desktop shortcuts, point them to the Nav Client.exe with the settings parameter like this:

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\100\RoleTailored Client\Microsoft.Dynamics.Nav.Client.exe" -settings:"C:\YourFolder\ClientUserSettings_LIVE.config"

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\100\RoleTailored Client\Microsoft.Dynamics.Nav.Client.exe" -settings:"C:\YourFolder\ClientUserSettings_TEST.config"
