Update has been Canceled - when i try to generate payment

Dear 

i am trying generate payment , like we done a million times before,

but we are getting this error Update has been canceled at the last step before the check layout should pop up on the screen. 

i am trying to trouble shoot this issue , appreciate your feedback

note that on my test company, which is the same setup , i can generate payment => check normally

    Hi Silvano,

    Have you tried closing AX and reopening it?

    Have you tried resetting your usage data?

    Are you aware of any modifications that have been implemented recently and which might cause this error?

    you recommend i delete the content of the syslastvalue table ? is it safe ? is this what you mean by resetting usage data?

    a modification that i am aware of is the check number field on the General voucher. i was using check format template "Fixed" and changed it to "Free" but the check number field on the general voucher was still not editable, so i changed it to "Allow edit" so that i can add the check number to show in the bank reconciliation, that is the only modification that i am aware of. could this be the issue? but it can't be the issue , because the test company is working fine and printing checks without any issue.

    No, I mean the usage data under the sptions menu where you setup for example your language settings, the starting company, etc.

    Hi Silvano,

    There's no checklist for troubleshooting available. The only thing that you can do in the AX client is comparing the setup of your test and live system. If you can't identify a difference then please consult a developer who can debug the issue.
