Report en Dynamics 365 CRM

ReportReport
Posted on by 95

Hello. I am new in Dynamics 365 CRM and I have several doubts about the reports. If anyone can help me I appreciate it.

-I have installed Dynamics 365 CRM and I don't see any report by default to see sales or services. Shouldn't they come? In all the movies I see many come out.

-I don't know how to create a report. If I give reports an empty list comes up and if I give it again, it tells me that I can't use the wizard because I don't have Dynamics 365 reporting extensions installed.

-There is an option to upload existing files. What format do you accept? Can't load reports already made in Dynamics Nav or Business Central?

-I have tried to install Dynamics 365 reporting extensions that comes in the CD, but when I ask for the instance, it goes blank and I can't choose anything. The Sql Server reporting services is installed, configured and connected without failures. Isn't that what you have to have installed?

Greetings and thanks.

if this is for on-premise CRM you need to install reporting extensions so that you could see all the reports.. refer article below..

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customerengagement/on-premises/deploy/install-microsoft-dynamics-365-reporting-extensions

once this installation is done successfully and you restarted all services, you will see all the existing out of the box report ..

CRM will accept new report as .RDL files, you can create your own custom SQL/FetchXML report ..

    refer following example for this..

Hello. First of all thank you for the answers.

It has become clear to me why I don't get the default reports and the formats that CRM supports, but I still can't install Dynamics 365 reporting extensions.

As I said before, I have Sql Server Reporting Services installed and it connects well. I also have the service started, but when I install Dynamics 365 reporting extensions, just after choosing the database server, it asks for Specify SSRS instance name and it goes blank without being able to choose anything.

Is the name of the reporting services instance supposed to appear? What can I miss?

    Greetings and thanks.

Hi. I terminate this issue since I have resolved several questions and I have only one left. I will open a new topic for the question I have left. Thanks for everything.
