You can check if existing privileges can be used. There are privileges which are grouped based on the functionality.

    Hi Krishna,

The security in AX2012 is role based where privileges are grouping entry points (menu items) with a certain access level. Multiple privileges are grouped in duties which are usually linked to the role. You have to see which privileges do have entry points on the areas where they need access. It would be a bit challenging as many standard duties/privileges also will have certain parts of the common and setup sections. E.g. it is very likely that a person would have view access on the customers. This would also inherit that the person may view the data in the customers table for e.g. lookups.

What would be the reason that someone may use customers in transactions but is not allowed to view them on a common form?

To achieve your requirement, you would possibly have to create new privileges. The security development tool can help you identifying which privileges are already available or help you creating new privileges.
