Guides PC Authoring Tool Not Opening

Is any body else having a specific issue with PC authoring tool not opening on their machine? In my specific case the program is downloaded and installed on a work machine with security controlled by IT.

On startup you briefly see the Guides splash screen then is just closes. So i am trying to diagnose: is this a Guides issue, a PC issue, or an IT security setting issue. If anybody else has run in to this please let me know.

    Yes, I faced the exactly same issue you mentioned. But when I just did it after turning on the VPN I got the solution properly. But while working in VPN I was getting a Cisco VPN error 412. You may get that. I solved it via browsing on www.routertechnicalsupportnumbers.com/.../

    Mahesh,

    Thanks for the reply. I was looking through the Guides documentation and saw the piece about having internet access fulltime. Its a security setting by my employer related to the firewall. We tested Guides on a laptop on an open network and it worked fine so we are just getting the setting corrected on the workstation.

    Hi kcrawford - which version of the app do you have installed?

    Since the app crashes on launch, you can right-click on the app in start menu and click on "App settings" to look up the version number.
