
When setting up a segment for an event follow up journey, there is a wait condition that will send out an email 7 days before the event takes place.
When a contact joins the segment a day later, will they still be sent the email? Does it skip everything after the delay or will it receive the email immediately? And if the contact skips that part, can they still rejoin the customer journey further down the path?

When a contact joins the segment a day later, the contact will still be sent the email, since the joining timing is satisfied with this Wait Until tile.
Here is an example.
The journey is set to send the email waiting until 9:30AM.
In 9:32AM, there is no member in the segment.
And in 9:36AM, a new contact joined the segment.
The email has been delivered in 9:40AM.
