General Journal not updating the new entry number upon posting

Hi guys,
 
When I try to post a payment for an employee from the General Journal, I receive this error: The record in table Employee Ledger Entry already exists. Identification fields and values: Entry No.='823'.
The last posted entry in the Employee Ledger entry is 823, and the program won't increment that number upon creating a new transaction.

    Hey guys, thank you for your responses. we deleted the entry from the Employee Ledger. We created a custom procedure to retrieve the specific record and delete it. After that everything started working normally again!

    It's indicating that entry number 823 is already present in the Employee Ledger Entries? Please search the Employee Ledger Entries and check once. Is there any customization?

    Hello,

    Delete the record from other related tables associated with the same entry no. .

    •Detailed Employee Ledg. Entry (380)

    •Employee Ledger Entry (25) & also

    •G/L Entry (17)

    Also, try turning on Debugger from development environment, it will take you to the root issue.
