Fixed Asset Depreciation -- End of Lease Term

Hi:

Is the User-Defined Depreciation Method the only means of calculating depreciation for leased assets whose depreciation is not straightline but "life of lease term"?

If so, are most end users okay with having a Depreciation Method called "User-Defined"?  I can see where some companies would grimace and state that there should be something already built in.

That's not a criticism of BC or anyone.  I'm just trying to be "proactive" before I have conversations with others about "User-Defined".

Yes, user defined is the way to go in your scenario.

In my country we would not have the leased assets normally as fixed assets, so i guess the needs are different due to different regulation around the world.
