Thanks in advance

In Dynamics AX, User License and EP User License are two different thing.

Please go to you systems Lincense form and check how is the EP user license.

normally it use to have enough EP User License as per base package

Please verify and update us with your findings.

It doesn't matter how many users are connected at the same time - CALs are always assigned to individual users or devices, regardless whether they're active or not. It also doesn't matter whether users access AX through EP, the Windows client or somehow else.

What's important is that there are different types of CALs. It's not enough to say "I have 50 CALs" - you have to distinguish whether they're are Enterprise CALs, Functional CALs etc.

I think that users filling time sheets use Task CAL (please verify it before buying licenses), so you may need 50 Enterprise CALs and 250 Task CALs, for example.

SharePoint uses its own licensing model.

    Hi Abdul Aziz,

CAL in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 are of two types - User & Device.

A user license is assigned to a named user whereas a device license is tagged to a particular device and can be used by any number of users.

In your case, you have 50 user licenses which are actually 50 named user licenses and cannot be used by other than those 50 users. So in short, the answer is NO to your question.

Please note that if a user leaves the organization, his license can then be assigned to a different user.
