How to manually adjust Layout without going through set up first.

When you finish the layout set up (choose the walls floor and ceiling) it asks you if you want to manually adjust the layout. Is there any way to get this option to manually adjust the layout without first having chosen the walls and ceiling?

The factory space I want to use this in doesn’t have any walls so I have resorted to bringing a large cardboard box and propping it up vertically, so it registers as a wall to the HoloLens. Then I can preform the set up and just click on the cardboard box 4 times to make it register as the walls then I go about manually placing the set of objects in my layout.

I am currently testing the HoloLens to see if it is feasible to use in the company. Having to bring a cardboard box and prop it upright is not something I would expect the client to do. So is there anyway to circumvent the wall, floor and ceiling selecting process and just manually place the layout?

I have the same question (0)

    Hello Daniel,

We have received this feedback from other customers are and working on a feature set that would allow a user to skip the walls and ceiling during the room scan.

I will update this thread once we have released the feature.
