Vertical alignment of fields in column headers

I have a report in AX 2009. This report has a PageHeader section which contains several string fields I am using as column headers. These fields use display methods for their content, and this content will span multiple lines (2 or 3 lines)

By default, fields in the same section all line up so the top of the fields all line up together. I would like the fields to be vertically aligned (similar to how you can set vertical alignment in an Excel spreadhseet cell) so the bottom of the fields all line up. I did not see anything on the Properties tab to allow me to set vertical alignment, only the horizonal alignment (left, right, center).

Does anyone know of some "hidden" property in AX reports to allow me to do this?

    Hi Bill,

When I have to do something like this, it generally is I create a generated design, and hard code the locations of the string fields.  There is no 'hidden' property that does what you want.  I guess you could do something programmatically to determine the lengths of your columns and set field properties (left, right ,etc.), but I don' t know if this is something you would want to pursue or not.

    Hope this helps,

In Ax 3.0 this was possible, don't know if it works in AX 4.0/2009 too. However you can try: Use a user prompt control for the column header and set it's width either to very small value (like 0.1 mm) or even to 0 mm (cannot remember which one was the right ...). But this forces in AX 3.0 to show the label vertical instead horizontal.

Giv'em try an tell what's happend.

    Hi ,

I know its a little too late but for anyone who is facing this issue. The solution is to set the label width property for all the fields in the section to the same value say '10 char'. This will align the labels.

    Thanks
