Can I Use the Same Exchange Rate for Invoice Payment as Registered in the Invoice?

I would like to know if the following is possible:

I register a supplier invoice with a fixed exchange rate, and a few days later I want to make the payment for that invoice. However, I would like the exchange rate used for the payment to be the same as the one I registered for the invoice, even if the exchange rate has decreased since the invoice date. Is this possible? How can it be configured so that the exchange rate is "inherited" or remains the same when making the payment?

You might be able to edit the exchange rate in the payment proposal. This would be a manual process out of the box. If it works, you could automate it with a customization. I don't have any invoices in foreign currency in my test system to test it or I would.

Hi,

As Frank mentioned, this is a manual process today. Note that with one single payment line, you can link/settle multiple invoices with multiple different exchange rates used. If you have that scenario, a customization including some additional validations can be considered.
