Only show working days in leave applications (oh, and default value to whole day!)

Posted on by 155

Hi Folks,

When creating a leave request and picking dates across a weekend the weekend days are showing.  We have set the working days in the only calendar (applied to all staff) to only Monday to Friday.  Surely, that should be enough to exclude weekends from leave requests?

Also, is there a way to set the value of a leave day to a whole day and ignore the ability to book half days?

These two issues would reduce the tedium of booking leave dramatically!

Any thoughts gratefully received.

Ian

Thanks for the feedback Daniel.  Half-days looks like a new functionality since we set this up.

    Kind regards,

    Ian

    Hi Ian,

I hope this will help. You have to set up this before creating plans.

    OK, answered my own question:

I thought by selecting the options here:

That the work days were set.  But you have to actually then 'generate' the days based on this model

But, once this is done and non-work days add too, then creating a leave request automatically ignores weekends and closed day.

    Hurrah!

Now just need to find the magic button that says only full days can be taken...

I am an employee at Ian's company, and good news, we have been able to resolve this! The trick was assigning working time calendars to employees.
