How to get a query in a view to update after you have modified the query?

Hello All,

I am playing around in my test environment and am having trouble getting a query and view to work together like they should.

The view I am using in the SalesLineExpanded View and it is using the SalesLineExpanded Query as its data source. The SaleLineExpanded Query has the table SalesLine as part of it’s data source and I added a new field from the SalesLine Table to the SalesLine Table Data source in the SalesLineExpanded Query.

My understanding was that this newly added field should show up in the SalesLineExpanded View once I compile and refresh the Query as the query is the exact same object, weather you access it thought the view or access the query directally.

However, the new field I added to the Query is not showing up in the View and I am not sure why.

1)     Did this make any sense? I still feel like I am talking in another language when discussing AX dev work?

2)     Do either of you know what steps I am missing to pull the newly added field though the Query and into the View?

Thank you,

Philip Karowich

It looks like the queiers are different versions too. The one I added a field to is version "302" while the query in the view is  version "301".

I believe that this is the cause of the issue, but I am unsure how to update the version in the View object. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I guess you need to restore View and new query version will be fetched.
