Opportunity business process flow - going back a stage

(0) ShareShare

Hi

We already have a business process flow set up that pushes the opportunity through from the opening stages through to closing the deal as won / lost - this works correctly.

However, we need to move an opportunity back a stage and I think because the existing BPF passes each opportunity through stage by stage, as outlined in the flow, it isn't allowing it to go back a stage (against this flow).

Do we need to set up a new BPF? Or can we amend the existing and just allow for the opportunity to go either forwards or backwards?

Thanks

Jess

You can go back to the sage until unless an action has not been taken on the record for e.g status change.

Actions / fields have been completed on the previous stages, such as decisions made and completion dates filled in

Every time I click to go back a stage it comes up with an 'unexpected error' message

BPF should allow to move back to previous steps by pressing on the back arrow.  Note: It does require the use to be on the current Stage for the arrows to either move back or next

Unfortunately even when I am on the current stage and I click the backwards arrow, it still comes up with the error message.

On the error details the error code is: -2147220970

    Hi Jess,

it is very generic error , This is typically an error coming out of a bug in plugins for the entity (other maybe a synchronous workflow on the entity). If you have any plugins on the entity, go ahead and disable them and see if you still get the issue. Chances are that the issue will be 'fixed', and you'll have to work through your code to find where the exception is coming from.

Still not working unfortunately, even when disabling everything else to do with the opportunity. Thanks for your help anyway - one to raise with support I think

    Hi,

this could be one of the reason that stop you from moving to previous stage, give a try.
