Interest calculation - periodic

Hi,

Is it possible to create two interest notes for a Free text invoice? Example: Free text invoice is due for more than 2 months, and I want to run a interest note each month it is delayed for payment. For each month, I want to use different interest codes.

I have a case where I can not create the second interest note.

Hi, and thank you so much for your reply.

I have found out that you can not run 2 or more interest calculations (=interest codes) for the same invoice in the same period. But you can run 2 different interest calculations for the same invoice, but in two different periods.

    Example:
Invoice is due and not paid by customer on 31-01-2024
    Interest calculation - code 5% - on 28-02-2024
    Interest calculation - code 3% - on 31-03-2024

    Hi Suzan,
As Ramit mentioned, I don't think it's possible to generate interest with different codes for a single invoice in D365FO without customization.

However, you can have different rates if you use the "Multiple Rate" function. This means that a variable interest rate is used for the interest calculation period, and the rates are determined by the interest calculation period of the transaction. For more information, please check the following blog on Microsoft Learn:

    Hi,

You can only use one code for the transaction in interest note, multiple code is not possible, however you can explore the multiple rates option but I dont think your issue will be solved.
