Hi all

New to NAV and the forum and would appreciate a little help!

I am trying to look at ways to make NAV interact with RDID readers.

It seems that there were some solutions for previous versions of NAV such as integrating Biztalk RFID in addition to NAV however I am at a loss as to how the current version can be used with an RFID reader.

My only idea so far is to use the excel import function to import a spreadsheet of RFID data into NAV directly but this seems a bit cumbersome and wouldnt be automatic.

I was hoping to use the warehouse management functions in some way but it appears that maybe RFID is only available with the AX version.

Any solutions would be appreciated.

Bill, were you able to find a solution for NAV to interact with RFID? Is the solution off the shelf or custom? The reason i am asking is that we are looking into implementing RFID with our current NAV.

Sorry for the extremely slow response. This is the kind of answer I was looking for Archer. It seems that there isnt an off the shelf type solution available.

I tried to contact you but wasnt sure how!

hi,

have a look at www.membrain-it.co.uk/.../mobile-data-capture

for developing:

each rfid reader is delivered with driver and sample code (.net, c#, vb). it's not a big thing to write nav c/al code using the delivered rfid assembly (as dotnet vars).
