Print Orientation always landscape in printer preference when use custom size NAV 2016

Dear all,

I am using NAV 2016 Cumulative Update 20.

I want to print report 206 (Sales - Invoice) with paper size 22 cm x 14 cm and portrait orientation.

But, when I print the report, why print orientation in printer preferences is always landscape?

How to set it to portrait automatically?

Please help. Thank you.

This is related to your printer default setting.

To check the report default setting, design the report and open its layout, in there under report property you can check what has been set as default for report 206.

I have set the printer default setting to use paper size 22 cm x 14 cm and portrait orientation. But, in NAV 2016, when I print report, the orientation is always landscape.

In layout RDLC, the orientation is always landscape when I use paper size 22 cm x 14 cm.

I want to use paper size 22 cm x 14 cm and portrait orientation.

What should I do?

Check the report layout in design mode and check for orientation set

Thank you for your reply.

Please try to change the height = 5.5 inch, then NAV 2016 will always set the orientation to Landscape.

If I change the orientation to portrait, the paper size change to 5.5 in x 8.5 in.

I want to use height that smaller than the width (for example : 22 cm x 14 cm or 8.5 in x 5.5 in) with portrait orientation.

Then Check the Paper Size You need to select A4 or if it is custom size then select Custom

The orientation is always landscape when the width is longer than the height.

I have set the InteractiveSize as your screenshot.

Please look at the orientation in your RDLC Report Properties. It is always landscape, isn't it?

Dear pearl_jo,

Orientation is looking Landscape, but when you are going to print it paper height is coming whatever you given.

try it by printing.

Do you use NAV 2016?

I try to print and I see the printer preference use landscape orientation.

And the result is not in portrait orientation.
