Print Orientation always landscape in printer preference when use custom size NAV 2016

Dear all,

I am using NAV 2016 Cumulative Update 20.

I want to print report 206 (Sales - Invoice) with paper size 22 cm x 14 cm and portrait orientation.

But, when I print the report, why print orientation in printer preferences is always landscape?

How to set it to portrait automatically?

Please help. Thank you.

Hello,
Look Johana,

You can achieve your requirement by creating one more report, just SaveAs this Report,
And make this report Layout is Landscape, and write code for running NewlySaved report if the user click on Print,
he/she will get that report, or if he/she click on Preview then he/she will get this report.

If I use page size 14 cm x 22 cm, the print result is in 22 cm x 14 cm with portrait orientation.

But, when I print from preview page, the print result is in 14 cm x 22 cm with portrait orientation. How to make the preview page use 22 cm x 14 cm with portrait orientation?

Hello Johanna,

in RDLC Layout i made changes, don't confuse by seeing the sizes,

If the Paper size is Custom then it takes printer's setting,

see the below screenshot:

Do you use NAV 2016?

I try to print and I see the printer preference use landscape orientation.

And the result is not in portrait orientation.

Orientation is looking Landscape, but when you are going to print it paper height is coming whatever you given.

try it by printing.

I have set the InteractiveSize as your screenshot.

Please look at the orientation in your RDLC Report Properties. It is always landscape, isn't it?

I have set it to custom size.

The orientation is always landscape when the width is longer than the height.

Then Check the Paper Size You need to select A4 or if it is custom size then select Custom
