Trying to delete an order; User receiving error Quantity must be less than Quantity Shipped

Posted on by 35

Usually they adjust the order quantity to 0 and the shipped quantity also adjusts to 0.  In that situation they are able to delete the order.  This time the order quantity is not allowed to be changed to 0.  I am told that the order has not been invoiced or posted but why else would there be a restriction on changing the order?

Thanks Viv, The Quantity Shipped field has the same quantities as the Quantity Ordered field.  I will follow up but I am thinking that this order has been shipped already and not available to be canceled.  In the event that the order has processed as shipped but actually has not, we will have another process to look at.  Thanks again.

Hi Alton. Well if they are getting that  message this usually means that the order has been shipped.  You need to check the Quantity Shipped field on the order line.  The fact that you said 'I have been told... ' makes me wonder if you have all there information.  The NAV error messages are usually right!
