Unknown error activating integration port for custom service using msmq

Hi

We are trying to create a simple service which we would like to expose externally, hosted in AOS.

We got so far as code compiles and we believe the WCF configuration for a net.msmq endpoint has been setup correctly for an inbound integration port.

When we activate the port, there is a popup stating it was deployed successfully but the port itself communicates "unknown error"

We have msmq installed and configured, we have the queue setup, it is non-transactional and no security settings are enabled and everyone has full access to it.

The service works if we use standard net.tcp protocol

Are there anybody who could offer a few pointers on how/where to troubleshoot? i.e someway of tracing what the unknown error is or even where it is happening.

    What are you doing with the port and where exactly do you get "Unknown error"? If you get it when calling the port from another application, check the type of the exception and any inner exceptions.

    Is anything logged in the event log?

    And of course, review your setup (Deploy Message Queuing for AIF).

    The port will expose our custom service which has 3 operations for 3rd party software to consume.

    The error happens after clicking "Activate" and the infolog states it is deployed successfully. It is shown in the upper right corner of the "inbound ports" form above the port settings.

    So no interaction with the port has happened at the point of the error.

    Aha, sorry, I see it now.

    If checking the configuration and logs doesn't help, I would step through the deployment process in debugger to see what exactly fails.
