Hi All

we are experiencing an issue with our Nav 2017 RTC, users receive the error "The server did not provide a meaningful reply:this might be caused by a contract mismatch, a premature shutdown or an internal server error" this happens to 3 users today 2 times,  intermittently so we are not sure this is happening to all the users, during the issue we have continuous ping to  Nav server user connect to Nav server through AD windows login. anybody can assist where to look to resolve this issue

    Hi

Do you have any VPN connection ? Can you explain bit about your network

    Hi Shan

Thanks for taking time to read. yes we have VPN connection - our head office is located in middle east and server's are on AWS(Amazone) Dublin data center. we have site to site VPN connection between our HO & AWS network. There are 3 server in AWS

    1.Navision Application Server

    2. Navision Database Server

    3. Domain Controller (environment : Single Domain with DC, one in HO & one in AWS)

Dynamics Nav Clients are installed on user's PC , to access navision application server (private IP)using domain credentials(Navision App server use a domain service account for db access)

I am confused wether this could be a network issue(but it has ping to server when issue happends) or its navision itself, i read thread that u faced similar issue, but did not see any solution for that query. appreciate if you could advise where to look

    Hi

Same problem I faced couple of months before. We had a VPN and sometime we got same error. At that time we used to disconnect the VPN and reconnect and try once. Are you using 2013R2 base version ?

we are using 2016R2 Container, you mean to disconnect VPN from firewall or client VPN connection, we dont have any cleint VPN connection site to site is already connected
