I've create it (field CATEGORY) in SharePoint and it's working (thanks to @Leah Ju in first post), but for insert data in this field, this need to much steps for our users and we dont want they navigate in sharepoint

....

can you give me some other idea about to manage field CATEGORY in table SharePointDocument and not have too much steps for users?

    Hi DIE PIC,

I think instead of creating a column in SharePoint. You should need to create as many tables as many you have categories. Configure document management for all of these category tables. If the user needs to add files in category A then it should select the view for category A. I used this approach to implement departmental security for one of my clients.

Let me know if I can provide you with more details.

    Thanks

For now I've created a table "MyDocuments" and a module on it and it's working .... here I've all the fields that I need (also "category doc").
But I think that is better to use SharePoint dbase, so I'm seeking the way to create a field "category doc" on SharePoint.... in reality, as I say in previous post, I've found the way, but there are to much steps to do to obtain result and we wan't that our user work inside SharePoint

    Hi DIE PIC

You need to take input from the user and then categorize it on share point... so the best workaround is:

    1. Create tables for each category. and
    2. enable document management for each table.
    3. Crate record for each table and navigate to the documents tab so that it will enable integration
    4. ... you can upload a document for each category from that table.

Let me know if I can provide you with more details.

    Thanks
