On account deduction lines don't show up in invoice proposal

Hi,

I am working in D365 Operations and Finance. I have a time and material project. I have invoiced an on account invoice. Now I want to issue the final invoice from the item requirement and also deduct the original amount.

On my on account transactions I have two lines. One prepayment journal voucher and one deduction line.

However, when I want to create the invoice proposal, the deduction line doesn't show up.

I don't have any specific billing rules. To be sure, I also paid the first on account invoice. (It might be worth mentioning that I also received an error message saying "the invoice you entered is not available for payment". I could easily pass that anyway though.)

I have never experienced this problem before. Any thoughts and ideas are very much welcome!

Best regards

Anna

    Hello Anna,

Do you have customer and/or vendor retentions set up that prevent the deduction of the prepayment? Please check the retention forms that you can find in the control tab of your project.

Have you tried modifying the invoice date and the end date fields in the payment proposal form?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hello Ludwig,

    Many thanks for your reply.

Under the Customer retained payments form, I find no retained payments at all:

I have removed all date restrictions in the invoice proposal with the same result.

    Hello Anna,

Just wondering what happens if you set the project date for your deduction to yesterday (17-09-2017).

Can you test this by canceling the invoice proposal and creating a 'fresh' one?

Can you also check your Project Parameters and whether the payment criteria parameter is active or not?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Anna,

I ran into this same bug today, just two days after you. Thank's for posting this question on-line, as it helped me convince myselft that this  is a bug in the system.

I have learned from Microsoft today, that is a known bug. A fix is planned for the next version 7.3. I have opened a bug request, trying to have this fixed sooner.

Did anyone confirm if this is fixed in 7.3? We also need to be able to add deductions in this way.

    Thanks

    Dave
