Solution import failed , missing dependencies

Posted on by 80

Hi I am trying to import a solution from sales trial environment to my company's environment as an unmanaged solution(we are not done customizing).

The import is failed due to missing dependencies as shown in the attached picture. All the dependencies in the trial environment(source) are managed so I cannot export them and import it to the new environment. Is there a way to bring them to the target environment? Thank you.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. Unfortunately the solution import failed even after removing dependencies from trial solution. Lesson learned . Had to do everything from the beginning.

Hi Mahen I will remove the Plugin profiler and will try again. For installing the solutions/updates where do I find them? They are all managed in the trial environment so its not like I can do export-import.

    Hi Partner.

As they suggested, you can use the following ways to solve the issue.

    1. Install the solutions that are missing on target organization
    2. Uninstall the solutions from source, since they are not used and were only for testing.

If you want to install these solutions in the target environment, you can refer the following description:

    (1)PluginProfiler

They all related to Dynamics 365 Sales Premium App.

    Hi,

You can surly remove plugin profiler, if you will go Settings-> Solutions you should see plugin profiler solution which you can uninstall by deleting solution (select solution and click on Delete)

You need to look for the solutions if they are from MS or someone imported solution from different ISV, for the MS app you can navigate to admin portal and see which all apps are installed in your environment.

Thank you for the response. So if I were to remove these dependencies from my trial environment will I be able to move my solution? I don't know where to find these dependencies to install in the new environment.

    Hi,

The first dependency I see for the plugin profiler which developer enable when they want to debug plugin, you can simply remove this solution from your trial environment and then export new solution.

Also as you said you are using a sales trial keep in mind trial mostly have updated solution or version of the solution which is are not present in your company environment. so you can have to follow any of the below:

    > Instead of setting up trial setup a sandbox in your company environment and do your changes and move them to prod. There are less changes of the difference but if any you can install updates to your sandbox or prod environment

    > If you don't want to do 1st option check which solutions/updates install on your trial and try to install them in your prod it may be from MS or non MS solutions.

It seems you have taken more apps or managed solutions in trial environment then available in you company environment.

This solution will not move to your company environment unless either you remove the components of managed solutions which are not available in your company environment

    or

You have to install the same apps/solutions in your company environments as present in your trial environment.

best is to compare solutions and you will get an idea.
