If you are planning a new deployment and develop connectors, integrations, etc... I recommend you to go for NAV 2015 without any  doubt. This version is nice, with more and enhanced features, is stable and of course you will have support for more years.

    Good luck!

maybe this google trend chart helps you (search runs for nav 2009, nav 2013, nav 2013 r2, nav 2015) between 2008 and 2014:

in terms of useability is it hard to say. people who know nav for years and have worked with nav vs. 3, 4, 5, ... mostly love the old windows forms. the forms are quick and quite easy to use.

with nav 2009/2013 and later versions you have the modern wpf based rtc client. this client is much slower, but has modern layout (ribbons, nice icons, etc.)

so how many of each version has installations globally?

which version to focus your attention on to reach the greatest number of customers?

need to know expected availabilty of your product.

I would think 2009 currently has the greatest number of users, but I also think that those users may eventually migrate to a newer version.

I wouldn't spend too much time on 2013, get a copy of 2015...stay current. I'm thinking 2013 will be a footnote in the grand progression of NAV history.

    Thanks for the inputs

We are working on one of the project for our customer to develop plugin connectors (Integration Adapter), which would enable the end users to quickly integrate cloud and on premise applications.  We are targeting to develop plugin connectors for  Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

So want to know which NAV version has more customer orientation
