Hi,
I'm trying to set up a customer journey that sends 3 reminder e-mails before an event takes place. The dates the reminders are sent should be based on the event start date (14,7 and 1 day before the event). The closest I've gotten to a solution is configuring a custom tile that triggers an MS Flow that sends an e-mail on a calculated date based on the event date using the delay action. The problem here is that the e-mails are then send from MS flow and one of the requirements we have is that the e-mail has to be send from the customer journey itself.
Is it possible to map the date that is set in the ms flow back to for example the wait until tile, or is there another way to send an e-mail on a dynamic date based on the event start date in a customer journey?
Thanks in advance!
Hi Laureen,
The e-mails sent from MS flow would be your solution, because marketing email delivery can be only triggered via test send or customer journey, and currently it is not supported to send data back to journey.
Alternative:
You could create 3 segments to query contacts whose attending event starts in 1, 7 and 14 days later.
e.g:
The segment will find contacts whose attending event starts 7 days later.
Then create 2 similar segments and add them as 3 swim-lanes to customer journey to send reminder emails.
