Export Invoice to Word Template(s)/customise and save in NAV

Good morning all :)

I have a client in the services industry who has a requirement to be able to customise nearly every invoice before it goes out to a client.  Examples of customisation are:

1) Bold

2) Underlining

3) Italics

4) Sometimes $ amounts against lines

5) Sometimes no $ amounts against lines

6) Paragraphs of text

7) Bullets/indenting

Basically no invoice is the same.

Obviously this is just not available in the standard NAV interface.

Therefore I am wondering if anyone has ever come across a NAV add-on that would do something like:

1) Create NAV Invoice with amounts

2) Pick a Template

3) Export to Word.

4) Word template has certain areas that cannot be edited ie. Header/Footer

5) Modify the invoice in Word

6) Save, and document is saved with link in NAV against the invoice.

7) Until the invoice is posted a user can edit the word document as required.

I have looked around but I cannot see anything.  But who knows maybe someone else has found something?

Regards

James

    hi,

    have a look at:

    supplychainbox.com/.../dynamic_reports.aspx

with nav 2013 it's possible to export reports as pdf/word/excel. with a small customization you can get a button for exporting reports as word document.

I have similar task, but I could not have ANY connection with MS Word. Perhaps NAV 2009 does not communicate with Office 2013???
