show GST instead of VAT in Sales Invoice layout

Hi is anyone using Business Central in a GST environment where GST is required instead of VAT?

Have you tried to show "GST" rather than "VAT" in your invoice layouts when you send to your customers?

I am not sure if this is what you are talking about?

Though I am not sure which country/region's Business Central you are using, if you use AU version, GST is displayed instead of VAT.

You can check few of things (assuming AU localization)

1. Customer card contains a language setting and leave it blank

2. User settings must be on Australian localization and language

3. GL setup - check local functions (GST)

4.check source table Invoice header fields (ctr+alt+F1)

Once the invoice is created with an incorrect setting it cannot be changed so perhaps if the above do not work, and all your customers in AU, you can hard code

1. the language setting in customer card is blank

2. User setting means "My Setting"?

3. GL setup means VAT settings in GL? We were using Normal VAT, now I changed to Sales Tax. Does it help?

4. Did you mean to change the invoice header from the source? Could you provide some screen capture?

Hi Jasmine,

You can download Singapore localization from AppSource to apply it to BC.

appsource.microsoft.com/.../apps

Local partner will support you.

Unless you want the localization app, you have to make coding to change VAT to GST in AL language.

Thank you for your reply, Yohi. You mean there are two ways to solve the problem. One is using extension, the other is to change VAT to GST in AL language. If we change VAT to GST in AL language, would it affect future system upgrading?
