Error message " No lines found for post"

I've been doing some work in service centre and everything has been working well up to yesterday but today I'm getting this error message "NO LINES FOUND FOR POST". As far as I know no alterations have been made to any of the parameters. The process I have followed is no different to what I followed yesterday. Any ideas of why I should get this error now?

    Hi Harold,

Please provide more information on the "process" you are doing, and possibly other information. The more you mentioned the better chance you get help. =]

We are using Microsoft Dynamics 2012r3

We have a repair workshop which is the service centre. I've been working on the charging of the hourly rate.

I've generated a service order (Service Management => Common => Service Orders => Service Orders) for the inspection of an product. The service has taken 1 hour and has been signed off and I've followed the same procedure as yesterday ( Created, Collected, received, Diagnosis, In Progress(carry out any repairs), Dispatched (returned), Closed and Invoice) after each these stages I have clicked next stage and confirmed it. Yesterday when I completed the close process and went to invoice it everything went through ok and it posted correctly to it's journal. But today I've had this error message come up.

It means there is nothing to post, so either the order you have already has posted documents, or none of the lines are in a position to be invoiced. Check the lines.

Check the service order, is it attached to an agreement? If so, I think you have to post from the service agreement, not the order. Posting directly from the order is only applicable when the order is not attached to an agreement

Review posting date from date to date may be posting date out of the transaction date.

In case of "No lines found for Post"

    1. You might consider looking at the SLA Time Record (On the Top)

-This is to check which date the service ends

    So logically,

You need to specify END DATE, When you are posting to be the day / after the service is done

    Hope this helps
