Transfer Mailchimp subscription list to Marketing List

I have recently started using the Marketing Module and would like to send out an email campaign. My current subscription list is housed in MailChimp and includes 2000 contacts that have several "tags". I cannot find a way to transfer this list into a Marketing or Subscription list that keeps the fields, including tags. Is this possible?

Transfer Mailchimp subscription list to Marketing List
Yes, it's possible to transfer your Mailchimp subscription list into Dynamics 365 Marketing, including the contact details and associated tags. However, this requires a structured import process as there's no native integration that directly maps Mailchimp tags to Dynamics 365 Marketing Lists or Subscription Lists out of the box. Dynamics 365 Marketing allows you to import contacts using Excel/CSV files, but it does not automatically recognize Mailchimp tags unless they are mapped to custom fields during import. The challenge here is preserving those tags and using them effectively within your Dynamics environment.
For scenarios like this, an integration tool like Marketing4Dynamics is quite effective. It is an easy-to-use app that connects Mailchimp with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM. It helps you automatically sync contacts, tags, and campaign activity (like email opens and clicks) between the two systems. This means you don’t have to manually update data in both places—it saves time and keeps everything in sync.
It helps bridge the gap by synchronizing Mailchimp data, such as:
    • Contact/Lead information
    • Subscription statuses
    • Campaign interactions (opens, clicks, etc.)
    • And importantly, Mailchimp Tags - directly into Dynamics 365 CRM.
Marketing4Dynamics offers seamless integration between Mailchimp and Microsoft Dynamics 365. With it, you can:
    • Directly sync Mailchimp contacts to Dynamics 365 while retaining all field values including tags.
    • Automatically map Mailchimp tags to CRM fields or even create new fields dynamically.
    • Create Segments or Marketing Lists in Dynamics 365 based on synced tag data—without manual intervention.
    • Maintain bidirectional synchronization, so updates in Dynamics can reflect in Mailchimp as well.
    • Automatically map tags to custom fields or use them to segment and build targeted Marketing Lists within CRM.
This way, you can not only transfer your 2,000 tagged contacts into Dynamics 365 but also create personalized and segmented email campaigns within the Marketing Module based on Mailchimp tags. Marketing4Dynamics significantly reduces manual effort and ensures data consistency, allowing you to start your email campaign much faster and more accurately.
