Hello,

I have doubts about the contact preferences, data protection and the section Marketing in the contact form.

I would like to know the Diference between the Marketing Only, Marketing Material, sendo e-mail, sendo bulk e-mail and consent level.

For example, if i set a data protection form with only the consent given field, how the other fields from the contact preferences Will impact?

I AM só confused about all these fields and isnt top clear for me the information from the docs.

Many thanks,

RE: Data protection and contact preferences

    Hi Anagrou,

it looks complicated as there are some inherited fields and also some created specifically for Marketing. Inherited ones from CRM may be needed/used in various scenarios – from using simple email campaigns with no need for GDPR compliance to separating flows and views for Sales and Marketing users inside the app. Consent is the only one that can help organization be GDPR (or other law) compliant.

I have made a slide to explain all the fields together, so hope it will help clarify.

    Some additional comments and links:

    1) CRM: Marketing only, Marketing Material. Difference between Marketing material and Email/Bulk email is explained here. Some good examples are here.

    2) CRM: Allow email,  Allow bulk email (link to CRM article on the topic).

    3) Marketing: Consent. Consent level is specific to Marketing and helps to keep GDPR compliance. It is used as an entry criteria for customer journey to ensure that all C2 users contacted during CJ have provided their explicit consent of the required level.
